Leather shows considerable wear; spines gilt-blocked, and with volume labels lacking. Corners, joints and endbands rubbed, with vol. 2 lacking its top compartment cover and vol. 1 lacking its bottom two. Contemporary reader inscriptions in ink to both vols. prelims; library date slip mounted to vol. 2 front free endpaper. Faint and sparse pencil annotations only to both volumes. Text blocks remain remarkably tight and clean overall, showing faint foxing only to prelims. A well-preserved set overall. Item #467447
