1938, First Edition. London : B.T. Batsford. Very good cloth copy in a good if slightly edge-torn (with minor loss) and dust-toned dust-wrapper, now mylar-sleeved. Cloth covers irregularly, if faintly, sun-toned. The edges and earlier leaves are slightly foxed, with later foxing sparse, faint and limited to the margins. Remains tight, strong and well-preserved overall. Provenance: from the library of Sir Lawrence Gowing. Item #466756
