1855, First Edition. London : Kelly. Poor copy in the original gilt-blocked red cloth boards, now scuffed and dust-toned. Corners bumped; cover edges and endbands somewhat rubbed. Both joints show tears, with the spine cover lacking at both ends. Some leaves worn at the fore-edge, with the text block remaining tight. Light foxing throughout. A very serviceable example overall.
