All covers dust-dulled, with vols. 1 and 2 showing damp-stains and rippling to spines and rear boards. Vol. 1 spine split at front joint, spine cover pivoting on rear, with a heavy lengthwise crease. Vol. 2 spine lacking entirely at head. Vol. 3 spine much better, with endbands and joints rubbed, the latter showing minor tears at head. Vol. 1 both hinges cracked, with spine supports holding; vol. 2: rear hinge starting. Vol. 1 and 2 prelims lightly foxed; vol. 1 plate leaves generally foxed, chiefly to blank verso. Except as noted, text blocks remain tight, bright and clean, with crisp folded matter. A very serviceable reading set. Item #466278
