Good copy in the original fine, elaborately gilt-tooled full calf binding with inner gilt dentelles, with boards now lightly scuffed and rubbed at the extremities. Spine with raised bands, also rubbed. Front hinge broken; spine cover detached from text block and pivoting at rear. Text block remains tight and secure, with clean leaves. All edges gilt (minor scuffs). A well-preserved example overall. Notes; No. 40 from a limited edition of 1000 copies, of which the first 40 are printed on whatman paper.
