Of wisdom. The second and third books
1697, First Edition. London : Printed for M. Gillyflower, M. Bentley, H. Bonwick, J. Tonson, W. Freeman, T. Goodwin, M. Wotton, J. Walthoe, S. Manship, and R. Parker. Poor copy with a well-preserved text block; spine separating between pp. 448 and 449, and lacking both boards. Spine heavily worn, with some loss to both ends. Except for the broken binding as noted, the text remains quite tight and secure; at the break, the leaves and lower spine support remain connected. Title (front) page slightly dust-dulled and with a marginal tear to the top, affecting only a manuscript inscription; rear leaf similarly dust-dulled. Page 151 shows a medial tear, without loss. The text block remains otherwise remarkably clean. A very serviceable reading copy. Item #465602
