Covers show minor damps stains along the seams, with endpapers faintly damp-stained. Corners and endbands somewhat bumped and rubbed. Contemporary reader inscription (1888) to flyleaf, and some later ones to the front free endpaper. Preliminary and final leaves foxed, with the interior remaining clean and very secure.
