Volume 1 in full maroon buckram over boards, with title gilt-blocked to spine; volume 2 in half black leather over blue cloth, both gilt-tooled. Both volumes have slightly bumped corners and rubbed endbands. Volume 1 spine sun-toned; rear board somewhat shadow-stained and with a moderate damp-stain. Volume 2 panel edges somewhat rubbed; joints slightly cracked at the ends. Both volumes' endpapers slightly foxed; volume 2 front free endpaper creased. Both text blocks remain remarkably tight, bright, and clean overall. A well-preserved set. Item #463052
