The White House cook book : a comprehensive cyclopedia of information for the home, containing cooking, toilet and household recipes, menus, dinner-giving, table etiquette, care of the sick, health suggestions, facts worth knowing, etc

1898, New Edition. Chicago : Werner Company. Good copy only, in contemporary printed boards, now showing substantial outer wear: dust-dulling, minor damp-stains, bumped corners, with worn edges and endbands. Front joint split, with spine cover pivoting on the rear joint; rear hinge starting. Much better internally, with generally clean pages showing only scattered and marginal stains or foxing. The copy is, overall, very serviceable, with a strong and complete text block. Notes; A loosely inserted document indicates that this is a composite, assembled from two copies of an identical edition; this likely accounts for the pattern of wear. Item #462967
