J. Mallon, secretary. The letters are dated Feb. 23 & 25, 1909. Obituary for Joseph Edwards, reprinted from 'The Beckenham and Penge Advertiser', Thursday, June 20, 1946. Also includes a postcard and stamped envelope addressed to Mr. Edwards. Notes: Joseph Edwards was a noted labour pioneer and land reformer. The National Anti-Sweating League campaigned against the poor conditions endured by many workers in so-called sweatshops and called for a minimum wage. Item #219925
